About this event
The Indian Olympic Association awarded the 39th National Games to Meghalaya for February to March 2027, with Shillong, Tura and Wahiajer as the main centres. Discussions of the IOA's Games Technical Conduct Committee reported on 20 October 2026 put the opening on 10 March 2027; the closing date has not been published, so the end of this window follows the roughly two week span of recent editions and will be corrected when the Games dates are confirmed. More than 30 sports are expected.
