About this event
Losar, the Tibetan New Year, is the biggest festival of the Monpa community and is celebrated for about fifteen days from the first day of the Tibetan lunar year, with the main family and monastery celebrations in the first three days. Tibetan calendar sources place Losar on 7 February 2027, the start of the Fire Sheep year 2154, giving main celebration days of 7 to 9 February 2027 in Tawang. No Arunachal Tourism page publishing the 2027 dates was found, so the record is graded expected on the lunar calendar.
