About this event
The Mamallapuram Dance Festival is organised by Tamil Nadu's Department of Tourism and stages Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, Kathakali and folk dance on an open-air stage against the Pallava rock sculptures, on weekends and holidays through the season. Published festival calendars carry the 2026-27 edition for 21 December 2026 to 20 January 2027; the record is graded expected because the department's own page for this edition could not be opened in this pass, and the exact start day has shifted by a few days between editions.
