Mysore Palace
The Amba Vilas Palace of 1912, the Wodeyar seat in Indo-Saracenic splendour: jewelled doors, painted ceilings, the golden throne at Dasara, and a facade lit by nearly a hundred thousand bulbs on Sunday evenings.
How to book: Entry tickets are sold on Klook with an optional guide, and at the gate. Sunday evening, when the palace lights come on, is the city's weekly festival.
