About this event
Hockey India opened player registrations for the Hero Hockey India League 2027 auction in May 2026 and stated the league is scheduled to take place in January 2027. On 1 October 2026 Hockey India president Dilip Tirkey confirmed, after meetings with the Sports Minister and the franchises, that the league will be played in December 2026 and January 2027. No fixtures or venues had been published when checked on 28 October 2026, so this record carries the confirmed December to January window; recent editions centred on Rourkela, Ranchi and Chennai.
