Marathi press coverage of the organisers' announcement describes Chitra Mandai 2026, a national art, culture and self-reliance festival held for the first time in Pune on Sunday 1 November 2026, from 8 in the morning to 8 at night, on the Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Udyan path on Jangli Maharaj Road in Shivajinagar. It is organised jointly by the Samved department of G H Raisoni International Skill Tech University and Pune Municipal Corporation, with painting, folk and traditional art, sculpture, pottery, handicraft and digital art on display and for direct sale, live demonstrations and artist registration free until 30 October.
