About this event
Assam Tourism's January festivals calendar lists the Jonbeel Mela from 14 to 17 January at Dayang Boguri in Morigaon district, describing a fair organised since the 15th century and one of India's few surviving barter exchanges between hill and plains communities. The official calendar gives annual dates without a year, so the 2027 edition is projected from it and graded expected.
