Guns N' Roses in Guwahati: the Northeast gets its stadium night
Guns N' Roses play Khanapara Veterinary Ground in Guwahati on Tuesday 17 November 2026, one of only two India dates on this run and the only one east of Bengaluru. BookMyShow lists the show from 4pm to 10pm, with tickets from ₹5,000 for Silver to ₹18,000 for the Platinum Lounge.
Big stadium rock almost never routes through Northeast India. Tours land in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru, and fans from Assam and the hill states fly out or miss out. That is what makes Tuesday 17 November 2026 worth circling: Guns N' Roses play Khanapara Veterinary Ground in Guwahati, one of only two India dates on this run, and the only one east of Bengaluru.
What you need to know, in short: Guns N' Roses play Khanapara Veterinary Ground, Guwahati, on Tuesday 17 November 2026, with the show window listed as 4pm to 10pm. It is one of just two India dates, after Bengaluru on 14 November. Tickets are sold by BookMyShow, listed from ₹5,000 for Silver up to ₹18,000 for the Platinum Lounge, and the phases sell through as tiers fill. If you are travelling in, base yourself around GS Road or Paltan Bazaar and give yourself far more time than you think you need to reach Khanapara on the day.
Why Guwahati is the story
The band last played India in 2025, so a return was not the surprise. The routing was. Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan could have filled a second metro date without trying, and instead the tour closes its India leg in Guwahati, a city building a real live music habit: ISL football at Sarusajai, a growing run of concerts at grounds including Khanapara, and now the biggest rock booking the Northeast has taken.
For fans in Shillong, Dimapur, Imphal and Itanagar, this changes the maths of a concert trip. Guwahati is the region's hub, a flight or an overnight train away rather than a cross-country expedition. Expect a crowd drawn from all eight Northeastern states, not just Assam, and expect the city to feel like it on the Monday and Tuesday.
The show itself
BookMyShow lists the Guwahati show from 4pm to 10pm, an early start that suits an open ground and a weeknight. Guns N' Roses are famous for marathon sets built on the era-defining catalogue: Sweet Child O' Mine, November Rain, Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City. The current shows are long, loud and light on support-act padding, so plan to be inside well before the listed start, and do not count on slipping in late and catching the hits at the end.
Tickets, honestly
Tickets are sold through BookMyShow. At the time of writing the listing shows Silver from ₹5,000, with later Silver phases at ₹5,500, Gold at ₹10,000 and the Platinum Lounge at ₹18,000. Prices step up by phase, which is ticketing language for: the cheaper allocation in each tier sells first, then the same view costs more. If you are going, the case for deciding early is written into the price list. India What's On does not sell tickets for this one; buy through official channels only, and be wary of resale listings for a show this size, where fakes travel fast.
Getting to Khanapara
Khanapara sits on Guwahati's southern edge, along the highway that climbs toward Shillong. It is the far side of town from the airport, and on concert day the approach roads will carry a full ground's worth of people at once. Fly into Guwahati's Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, which has direct flights from Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Bengaluru, and treat the cross-city drive as part of the plan, not an afterthought. Staying on the GS Road side of the city puts you on the correct side for both the venue and the evening's return.
If you are coming from Shillong, the highway down takes around two and a half to three hours in normal traffic; build in a serious buffer, or come down the night before and make a trip of it.
Where to stay, and what else to do
Most of Guwahati's hotels line up along GS Road and around Paltan Bazaar and Pan Bazaar, from business hotels to simple, good-value stays. For a one-night concert trip, GS Road is the practical pick: closest to the Khanapara side of the city, easy for food before and after. If you have a spare day, the Kamakhya Temple above the city and the Brahmaputra riverfront at sunset are the two additions worth making, and a Guwahati food run, Assamese thali first, is its own reward.
